I was told that the bullydog sucks for dmaxs I like the power it gives me on the extreme setting I was told if I upgrade to the cts it will be a lot better tuning and be like driving a whole different truck. Would I still get the same power or will it be less or what would my truck be faster with the pmt or the cts. I also like the smoke it puts out. What should I do . I just want my truck to run choice lol . Help

ya people were telling me edge and bully dog were the best for d-max , now its ppe and efi live, but the new edge looks cool ,

its 100hp and 210 tq the , well for the lly anyways

what do u run urs on?

the new edge is good, old ones had many problems....and bullydog is crap. if you want the display and stuff talk to a vendor and get an edge evo, PPE and EFI are great choices as well!

I had the juice and it sucked I run my pmt on werformance ant extreme sometimes when I want to blow some smoke but everyone tells. My to upgrade if I do it will be the cts but I'm afraid it will be slower

I think its like 130 on extreme but my truck I don't know for sure because that is like a 30 or 40 horsepower drop

No just once in a while its usually on performance whic is like 110 or so

I havn't run the edge or anything else for comparison, but I just have the Bully dog power pup and I can tell a ton of difference in power with it. I run the 90 hp setting pretty much all the time. I've had it in my truck for 100,000 miles. I would like to upgrade eventually to EFI... just for the shift on the fly and the different tuning options.


I've heard that the Quadzilla Stealth is pretty good for the price..

So it should run 100 times better with the cts and it should be just as fast as it is with the pmt yeah I had it and it ran good but I didn't like it cuz no gauges

If the PMT hasn't limped your stock tranny then it will run every bit as fast, or maybe even a tad faster. It will definitley have a much smoother feel to it. the shifts will be better as well as the driveability. It's a much much better tuner :)

The thing I don't like about the bully dog when I punch it it takes a few seconds to actually kick in. But I like the smoke it puts out and I know the cts wont smoke customer its clean tuning is that right. And I read that the cts boost gauge only goes up to 24 psi

The higher levels on the cts will smoke some, it's not going to block a 4 lane highway, but you'll get some. You have to remember that all tuners will have a little lag just because it takes a second for the turbo to spool up. Some will be worse than others, but if you roll into the throttle rather than mash it, it will spool up a little faster.

I just wasn't sure about the cts because I had the edge juice and it was junk. Is that true that the boost gauge only goes to 24psi

get with one of the vendors and get dsp5...you could have as much power and smoke as you want custom built to suit your needs. if you dont have 1000 bucks get your dsp5 switch and your ecm pre loaded and you'll really know what smooth shifting and power is! and i've seen people use their pmt for gauges but not sure if it's a good thing

i emailed idaho rob i guess i will see what he says about the dsp5 and ill go from there
