Hi guys,

Some of the bulbs in my steering wheel controls have burned out; how do I replace them? do the button covers pop off? Thanks.

ok, how do they come out? do I need to remove the steering wheel to disassemble them?
I did this on my tahoe a while back, i dont remember exactly what i did but i pulled the airbag and got enough slack in the wires to pop the switches out with a small screwdriver

Also check the link in that post, it details the steering wheel controls.

There is nothing holding the buttons in, they just need to be pry'd out.

A word of caution, I put a white 3mm LED with a 470ohm resistor in mine and had to take them out and put the bulb back in. The LED was WAY too bright. Either try to find an actual bulb, try a different color LED, or get a huge resistor.

This isn't a hard mod, if you know how to solder, but it isn't for the faint of heart either.
