So I was looking at new head units for my truck the other day, and was told that I would lose my steering wheel controls. Is this correct? Is there some sort of kit to get these controls back?

Anyone have any experience with replacement head units? I'm a big fan of Alpine, but if any work better with the steering wheel controls I'll take it.

you can get it so the controls work just need a harness

^^^ what he said. Crutchfield sells the harness you need to connect the existing controls over to your new radio head.
