yea like Shanester said if you replace the factory headunit with a aftermarket one Ie sony,pioneer, kenwood etc youll need a few things. need a headunit install kit, the data bus interface( small box that keeps your door chimes an such) antenna adapter. Then the other part if you want to keep the steering wheel mounted controls you need a unit made by PAC. If you got any questions just let me know =)

jmaz268 your lucky right around your year is when they started getting hectic with the data box interfaces, because they added the onstar package an then bose packages as options.

haha yea its bad, it would almost be easier to gut it an rewire it all your self, but then if you get shorts or ground something out by accident you could be wire chasing for a very long time...
