The adapter for the door chimes was $40 now the one that allows you to retain usage of steering wheel buttons is a bit closer to $100 if I recall correctly. I haven't installed this one. The one for door chimes was pretty easy, just a bunch of wiring. If you have done a couple of radios in the past then rest easy.

Scratch the factory and go aftermarket. My wife's 05 with Bose had some problems playing cd's recently. It worked fine even after I removed the dime from inside, 4yr old boy, over a year ago.

yeah i was quoted 200 bucks for the damn onstar one.....i told em where they could their onstar lol.

But I'm sure there is more involved with the Bose system due to the factory amp..

Gut it all and run new wires lol.....would be easier

There are two different bose. The one that requires a special $$$ harness is typically found in some Avalanche and Trailblazer SS models.
