I have heard of these stories. The crooks have figured out how to quickly disable the tracking system. I might cancel mine, gotta think about it.

Spot trace is another option. I have one on my boat. They have a hardwire harness and it has 3AAA batteries for backup.

Now, I will say that if they're using a GPS jammer they could block the SPOT TRACE from acquiring a GPS signal.
