2005 GMC Sierra 3500 LLY BONE STOCK NO TUNE

Changed the alt and arc'ed off when rehooking batteries.
Cranks but dies within a second( literally)
PCM is NOT detected with EFI live scan tool. No clue on codes
fuses have checked good with a test light.
Maxi fuses have tested at 2 ohms
Key fob does not work, interior lights do not work. Security light comes on but goes off and stays off.
Pcm 1 fuse has no power, PCM 2 fuse has power.

What am I missing, I need this truck up and running ASAP!!!

This is why you always disconnect BOTH NEGATIVE battery cables first and reconnect both of them LAST when working on anything electrical.

As to what you shorted out/burned up I don't know but you obviously fried something. What battery cable touched what when you were reconnecting to create the arc?

For sure you're going to need good fuse at PCM 1. It controls :

15A Powertrain Control Module (PCM), Mass Air Flow (MFS) Sensor, Evaporative Emission (EVAP) Canister Purge Solenoid, Fuel Composition
Sensor, Secondary Fuel Pump Relay

Unhooked and reinstalled battery cables after 4 hours now and it started. Codes came in for class 2 serial data both low and high( multiple codes), antitheft, blend door position.

I'm on the road, thank you for the assistance!

Great resource Ron (as usual) - thank you. I'll keep this in my back pocket.
