the thought being to save on shipping?
yea mostly and ease of getting it, how r they to deal with
I've talked to Ron (i think) at suncoast, and he's pretty cool.

I would contact your favorite US dealer, and see what they can do for you. Rob and Chad are in Idaho.. and that's close to canada!

From my experience.... Brutal to talk to even, let alone deal with.
Yes, less excited about GM, than Cummins or Ford.

Back when I talked to them it was about my Cummins. AND they knew I had already spent $3000 on their twin turbos among other BD products. AND they STILL had no time to discuss the details about the $5000 tranny I was interested in.

Like I said Brutal.
any one in canada who got a suncoast, what did it cost you once it got here? speed tech in saskatoon got me a quote on a bd wich was not bad, I never asked about a core refund on mine, i dont know if I could just sell it or not, realistically I dont know if I want to, I have limped it 4 times my self and I dont know how many times it has been before I owned it.
Im from Sask and if all goes to plan tomorow i will be phoning Rob to order my trans and other stuff. I ll let you guys know how it goes, but i am having mine shipped to a US pickup location then i drive down to get it so i wont be able to relay anything on shipping across the border.
In Canada we also get boned with brokerage etc on anything we buy. If you can always arrange for USPS shipping. United states parcel service and ship it slow, see if the shipper will put a low value on the stuff so you don't get screwed with brokerage on products. Avoid UPS they really put it to you.

I myself when I do my trans will either order from Meyer's Performance or Mike .L. for my tranny parts. I had my builder (friend) price the kits out up here and he cannot touch the US guys pricing.

I plan to buy 3 kits at once for 3 different trucks so were all going to ship USPS its the only way to abvoid the huge brokerage.
^^^^ what trannies did you order? from wich guy? and how much are you paying for it?
