I have a 2020 sierra 3500hd and I am looking for a switched fuse for my dash cam. I looked in both fuse panels on driver and passenger and all the spare fuse slots are powered all the time which fuses in these fuse boxes are on when ignition is on and off when ignition is off I don’t want to pull every fuse and test the sockets for power when truck is on and no power when truck is off

Your MBEC (under the dash electrical box) under your left foot probably has just the connection you need. You will probably have to test to see which are on or off as you want, and what the fuse is (how many amps) for the circuit. GMUPFITTER will give you that info.

IIRC some fuses can be switched in their positions to do what you want- at least on the '19's.
Like Ron and Hoser stated- Upfitters will give you that info.
Also look at the tech bulletins for your truck and see if there is one for installing the aux switches- that is the one I remember that gives you the fuse info and which ones to change positions to give you switched or constant voltage

Check the rear view mirror for switched power. If your dash cam is mounted up high, this will minimize the power leads that you will need to run. Otherwise you can run a micro relay with the mirror power to activate it.

F27/F28 in passenger side fuse box, with the 50 amp fuse shown in the location of this picture, the empty spot in F27 is on RAP, this is how my dash cam is wired If you move the 50 amp fuse to the left, then F28 will be hot all the time.

I just want to thank jhplak325 for the the photo of the switched terminal on the passenger side fuse panel. The F27 terminal work perfect for my dash cam and it turns on when the ignition is on and it turns off when then ignition is off. Thanks to everyone who chimed in this saved me a lot of time. You guy are awesome

How is that circuit fused? And what amps is required for your dash cam?
