I keep seeing alot of MotorOps questions popping up. Maybe we can use this thread to start asking questions instead of having 50 different threads. Just a suggestion.

To start this off, MotorOps has been a great company and they have provided me with a fantastic product. I have been dealing with Steve since they came out and he has been top notch. Whether I was running emissions intact or deleted, the tunes have been flawless. I will admit, I was very nervous and hesitant at first because no one knew anything about MotorOps. Well, let me tell you, I am very pleased with taking a leap and hoping for the best. They are a top notch outfit. Thank you my Canadian brothers for all your hard work and superb customer service. Like I have told Steve, you all will always have a place to stay in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX if yall ever come down.

Erick

Mine is exactly opposite. Rumble when cold and hiss when up to operating temp.

I drove my buddy's truck today. He has 2013 with motor ops on the highest setting with 5" straight pipe and fass 150. My truck is a 2012 with h&s set on performance with 5" straight exhaust and fass 150. His shift points seem way different than mine. His seems to hold the gear longer. I was driving on a slippery bush road so I couldn't really compare power but I have ridden in with him on pavement and his seems way quicker. His is also so much cleaner. With low boost fueling on 4 I can make mine smoke pretty good if I lay into the throttle at low rpm and load up the engine. Doing the same thing I barely seen anything out of his pipe. Just a small comparison for you guys.

So this is the 3rd time I have seen over 40 lbs of boost. This is on the Race tune. I was running about 75 and got on it @ 50‰ throttle. In 6th gear. Is this legit or do I have a bad sensor?

MotorOps! Only issue I had was they sent me tunes for stock tires. YES it's an easy fix, but it was principle of the matter since I called and verified everything twice.
Other then that it's all good!!
Steve bent over backwards for me, I can't say enough about his customer service. They are on top of there game. I'll post some sound videos in the am.

What tune were you running?

I really wish motor ops could get the rumble at idle fixed, like I asked for when I bought the tunes and was told it wouldnt be a problem to get it. Other then that the tuning is good.

STEVE

thanks for the package brother. The wife is bringing it down to me on Sat. I will be in all MotorOps apparel, well except for the undies. I was really hoping to get a MotorOps banana hammock to wear while I am racing, but hey, can't have everything right. Lol. Thanks again.

I'll be taking my truck to the local 1/8th track on Saturday. Hopefully I'll have some times and videos to report back with. When I was there last fall, the truck went 8.7@79mph with an H&S tune. I'm hoping it has an 8.4-5 in it now. Should be able to get there fairly easily if I can get my 60's below 1.9. Haha

so thats the 150 hp motor ops tune? I dont have a lift pump so I have just left mine on the sport 120 tune.

I thought I read that korys lml efi tunes had the rumble at idle already?

Is motorops working on the lml tunes any more or??

The mcc tunes via h&s have the rumble.

^^Correct!!! Kory has a Rumble vs Hiss thread right now. Said he is about 18 hours away from finishing the mapping of his EFI live tunes to rumble. Then Kory is going to give you option of Hiss or Rumble free.

Is MotorOps still updating????? I don't know.... Maybe they can reply to this thread.

Thanks for starting this thread! I have been looking for some more info about their tunes and if anyone has dyno'ed their truck to see what gains they are actually getting.

Working with a buddy on his 12' LML and were gunna go with a 4" turbo back with deletes and the motor ops tune for now.

I have yet to see anyone really complain about anything with their stuff so were gunna go with them since we want to delete.... (we live in FL so no emissions)

So question with a Motor ops tune... have you ever ran the truck on a dyno to see what hp you are gaining?

One more question, as far as the delete goes we were going to follow the directions H&S has for unplugging the Emissions stuff, is that what everyone else does?

I know this is kinda a little ricer math, but it seems legit.

IIRC, most stock LMLs have been putting down 360 rwhp, so add 150 and you get 510 rwhp. The track calculator confirms that. I am guessing I am around. 520 +/- 30hp.

Hey guys! Sorry for the delay in response, I am going to try and address as many questions as I can here. If I miss something, I'm sure someone will let me know.

Rumble vs. Hiss - Yes it is being worked on. I know, we all want it. We have some testing going on now and I hope to see some results soon. I wont quote how many hours away we are, but there should be something note worthy in the weeks to come.

Actual RWHP gains - 530 RWHP is typical of an LML with a lift pump and good fuel system. That is about 150 RWHP over stock and also the limit of the Cp4. In other words, there is no bigger of a tune without adding hard parts (dual fueller).

Racing - konahoss, try running next time in the Sport Econ tune if you do not have a lift pump. You may be surprised that generally will run faster if you do have a lift pump. From the video (which was awesome to see) it seems that who ever got the launch won the race. Which with your tool box and front bumper that is not bad at all. jwcgmc1985, the video did not show your set up, are you about the same weight?
Rural LML, it sounds like you had a great day at the track. Beating those trucks without a lift pump and big tires and a lift, I am very impressed.

Like I said guys, if I missed anything please let me know and I will cover it the best I can.

Yeah I noticed in the 1/8 I ran the same times with 4 and 5. I am running tonight so I will try the sport/econ like you said. JWC is lifted on 35s. We are both similar in mods. EFILive and 5"FloPro. Hopefully he will go weigh his truck this weekend. I will post some video tonight I hope.

Motor Ops:

- Do you have a link to the lift pump you guys highly recommend?
- Have you experimented with water/meth with any of your tunes?
- and just a side note it would have been nice to know there was gunna be a $50 price hike :-/ maybe keep up with with websites/social media?
- Any other notes about when doing a delete?

Thanks!

garth285,
-We recommend the FASS 150. Sorry I do not have a link but if you google them many retailers have them available.
-No we have not experimented with water/meth. It should not have an impact on the tunes though.
-Sorry about the price increase, everyone has recently raised prices or will be shortly. The cost of hardware just went up for all of us.
-When doing deletes, make sure to remove all 3 plugs on the EGR and pull the DEF tank along with the plug at the bottom of the tank.

I hope this helps. If you need anything else or have more questions just let us know.
