I keep seeing alot of MotorOps questions popping up. Maybe we can use this thread to start asking questions instead of having 50 different threads. Just a suggestion.

To start this off, MotorOps has been a great company and they have provided me with a fantastic product. I have been dealing with Steve since they came out and he has been top notch. Whether I was running emissions intact or deleted, the tunes have been flawless. I will admit, I was very nervous and hesitant at first because no one knew anything about MotorOps. Well, let me tell you, I am very pleased with taking a leap and hoping for the best. They are a top notch outfit. Thank you my Canadian brothers for all your hard work and superb customer service. Like I have told Steve, you all will always have a place to stay in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX if yall ever come down.

Erick

I should have my Motor Ops tuner here Wed, the 4" turbo back came in today so patiently waiting til mid next week. Going to do a before and after dyno stock and then with delete and all tune levels.... cant wait!

So one more question, say 2 years down the road the truck is going to get replaced, if I were to put the truck back to stock could I remove the tune and tuner and use it on a new truck? Or will this tuner live with this truck forever?

I know with the older superchips stuff it would let you go back to stock and if you sold the tuner it would pair to what ever truck it went to as long as the original went back to stock.

The only way to "go back to stock" is reinstall everything you delete/remove/unplug/probably won't ever work right in "stock" form again who knows? I don't know of anyone who has ever done that.
I have never had any trouble selling or trading in a deleted truck, in all my dealings the buyers were glad it was gone. The only question's that came up was, did I race it or exceed the towing capacity? No I only want better mileage out of the truck.

I kept draining the rails. I did one run on the Race tune, then one on the sport tune. Drained them both runs. I need to change my filter. The sport tune was faster.

Yeah, well I had your S10, 5 bags of concrete and a blow up doll of Rosanne Barr (approx 359 lbs) in the bed of my truck.

Good thread, id like to chime in a say how good of a person Steve is to deal with as well!, I bought my delete products last year and my tuner from duramaxtuner... right at the end of them doing delete tunes, so i was pointed in the direction of Motorops(Steve). I gave him a call and he ran out to get me delete files that evening.... now thats customer service! Thanks again Steve - JoeyD

Unfortunately I didn't run yesterday, I need a lift pump bad. I only drain the rails @ 60mph. It pulls so hard from 0-60 and 70-120 mph. That's on both 4 and 5, pulls harder up top on 5 for sure. I need to log it it as soon as I figure it out. I will call Steve tomorrow, he is a great dude to deal with for sure. He has always gone above and beyond.

Installed my flo pro 5" straight pipe and motor ops tuner on the weekend, I have only ran it on the sport economy tune as I haven't had time to install my lift pump yet. The truck runs awesome and is a whole new animal thats for sure, haven't beaten on it to much as I don't want to ruin the transmission. I have also seen a nice increase in MPG and thats with driving the truck relatively hard, I couldn't even get this mileage when I would baby the truck when it was stock and no regens will also be a positive for mileage.

I run my truck on the race tune all the time with a 145k mile stock trans. No need to be scared about hurting your trans in these trucks IMO

And the trans holds up to all that abuse? I guess it all depends how hard you are on the truck and how often your beating on it.

I run it on the sport econ tune all of the time, its suggested not to run the race tune and BEAT on it all of the time due to the higher EGT's, but to each their own.

The highest egt's I have recorded on the CTS when running the Race tune were 1425*F.

Yes, I've had it to 100+ mph in 6th gear several times. Never limped and still feels solid. I'm not too scared of EGT's either after I've seen the heat these LML pistons can take.
