How about 305/65/18 on a 2019 Denali 3500? Looking at all the specs and reading about what other guys are running on theirs I believe they will fit. I would rather leave the suspension alone for now but I can't stand the stock Michelin tires. Does anyone have any experience with this size?

Did you purchase those and if so did it rub?

On the 2020 AT4 the stock 18's are 275/70 18 thinking of putting on 295/70 18 difference increase is
sidewall ht .55"
section width .78"
tire ht 1.1"
tire circum 3.45"
Compared to stock 20's AT4 option 275/65 20 difference is
sidewall ht 1.09"
section width .78"
tire ht .18"
tire circum .56
My thinking its not huge difference with the 20's any input if they might work Michelin
Defender LTX M/S LT295 /70 R18 129R E1 BSW I want the higher load rating over stock size 125.

I put Toyo open country AT2's on my stock rims. I went with 295/60R20 which are 33.9" tall. Looks good and doesn't rub. I did crank my torsion keys up a few turns after the initial install.

thinking about going with 19.5 rims and tires heard many more miles can be achieved by this vs. regular sizes. big initial
cost but will recoup in short time!

When I had my dually I thought about 19.5s as well. Most people advised to have them installed and balanced at a commercial truck center since the check for roundness and balance the tires on the vehicle.

I have an 08 2500 that came with the Z71 17" wheels. The tires look like pizza cutters and I would like to get much wider and a little taller tires. Anyone know the largest tire size to run with a leveling kit, stock wheels and a little trimming? It seems that the tire genius may be a part of this thread...
285/70/17
34" tire. You will like the it looks.

Been looking at these for my 2009 2500 WT

LT265/60R20
Is this the biggest I can get without adjustments?

Just remember going with taller tires your speedo will be off, which also will affect actual mpg calculations.
Enter your factory tire size listed on your drivers door then enter the tires your considering, then you'll have a approx idea on how far off your speedo and mileage with be off.

I’ll add most trucks even the same series are not equal in height.
Take the measurements listed in the Discount calculator on the new tires, height will be the important number.
Then go to your truck turn the stock tires full left and full right then measure how my clearance you have before rubbing.
Then you’ll have a pretty close guess-ta-ment.

Will be replacing the stock 235/80R17 Michelins on my 2012 DRW this year. The truck has low miles but since the tires are 9 years old, I think it's time.

I was very disappointed to see significant side wall cracks starting a few years ago so I will not be buying Michelin again.

I've read some very good things about Hankook Dynapro HT on various Class A motorhome forums. Those are typically G and H rated tires.
Wondering if anyone here has experience with Dynapro on your DMax? Of course I will be looking at the E rated varieties.

The truck sees little use but always hauls a 3500# camper and tows a 8000# boat at the same time.

Thanks in advance.

FYI, you'll start seeing the cracks on just about every tire after about 7 years.
I change my MotorHome (Michelin XPS Rib 235/85R 16 E) and 5th wheel toy box's tires (GoodYear G614 235/85R16 G) BOTH ALL STEEL) about every 7-8 years like clock work because of these NORMAL cracks.

Interesting. Must be the "new normal" lol.
I've never had side wall cracks on any vehicle in my life.

Old bias ply tires didn’t have this happening to often.
Radials have had this since the beginning of time.
Nothing to do with a new-normal.
You must have changed your tires before this showed up.

You might be right. I'm still striking Michelin from my list. Fool me once...
Any opinions on Hankook HT tires?

This website gives a 5.4" backspace for a stock 17x7.5 rim w/ +28 offset (2007 LMM SRW).

Which one is true?

Hello all. Sorry if I am asking this same question but a quick reply by someone will guide me quicker vs reading thru this thread. Current tire size: 265/60/20. Can I go 285/60/20? Thanks!

You'll want to tell us what model Duramax you're working with before we can reliably answer it for you. Also if you have any mods on the truck that affect the suspension.
