What kind and size tires are you running on your stock wheels? I have a 06 LBZ and looking to get new tires for my stock wheels

I have ran 285/75R16 on PYOs with no problems

Really the biggest safest size you could go on the stock 16" wheels are 265/75. You could also go tall & skinny 255/85.

Many of the bigger tire shops won't mount anything bigger than 265-75s on PYOs, they claim the bead wall can fail if you go bigger. Never seen it happen, but they claim it can. If you're on a budget, get some 17" H2 wheels. I bought a nice chrome set for $100 and a coated set for $150. You can mount just about any size you want on H2s and they won't break.

This happen to me. I was running 285's when my PYOs cracked. Can't believe how light PYOs are.

Tire Option

For what it's worth, I replaced my Michelins with Cooper AT/3s in the OEM recommended size. I'm on my second set, having replaced the first set at 61,000 miles of use. I rotate every 5,000 miles and, when towing, at the maximum cold sidewall pressure. I tow a 5th wheel trailer with a typical travel weight of 11,500 lbs.

I found the Coopers to be surprisingly quiet and to have very good wet and dry traction. They have been very satisfactory in snow. Being made in America is a factor for me as well so, overall, I'm very satisfied with these tires.

I had no issues with the Michelins, but a set of six new ones was going to cost $400-500 more than a set of the AT/3s.
