So I made the jump to the new 3.0 1500 from a 2.8 colorado. I needed a bit more towing power. I know its new and not many have a good gut feeling for the motor. I will be driving it more as a daily driver than a tow rig but do plan to tow the camper just as I did with the colorado. I'm going to give you all some good info that may upset some that is looking to buy a 2wd. I wanted to get it because almost always the 2wd will have more towing capacity???? NOT this time, I had to buy a 4x4 to get 9300lbs. The 2wd is 7500lbs, yes those are numbers that are posted on GM's web site'dunno;'dunno;'dunno;

If I hadn't gotten an ok deal I would have gone to a 2500 or just kept my Colorado 2.8 (that had 7700 with 2wd).

That blows...I'm driving the 4x2 and no one mentioned the Limited tow rating. My Toyhauler is only 4600 lbs empty weight. With my V-Star 1300 Deluxe @700 lbs & cargo I'm guestimating 5700 lbs loaded.
