truck I just picked up has the power extendable tow mirrors. the pass side will go out, but not come back in unless you push on it. Is this something that can be taken apart and fixed? or do i need a whole new mirror?

The mertal in those are aluminum and they end up corroding causing the metal to flake and then not work. If you can get the mirror apart you should be able to clean it and grease the slid so it wont happen again.

are they easy to take apart? i know nothing about these mirrors, would like to fix mine if possilbe but it seems like you cant take them apart?

I have bought parts for my mirrors from the dealership. If they break again bye bye power mirrors. You can take them apart but be careful you don't break any wires.
