I am going to replace the fluid in my allison with Amsoil torque drive but am unsure of what is in is as of now. If it is regular dino oil will it mix?

Obviously I am going to change the external tranny filter and am wondering if the AC Delco filter is as good as the wix or OEM Allison?

When I changed over to Torque Drive I did a full flush just to make sure as much of the fluid as possible got replaced. However, when making the transition in stages, although it will be diluted by the oil fluid, Torque Drive is fully compatible with all other fluids.

Ac Delco are good filters, but I would stick with either OEM Allison or WIX filters for the spin on myself.

Let me know if I can help at all...

If your gonna change the tranny fluid you might as well drop the pan and change the internal filter. Takes about 10min.

As for the fluid. Its is a Synthetic so the transynd will match perfectly. If you got a 6 speed youll need 12qts or 3 gallons.

For the filter. I only use AcDelco in my truck.
