looking at changing out my tranny fulid. i need fluid, spin on filter and pan filter. i'm also gonna change my fuel filter. just doin some maintance. i just bought the pickup last month and want to sevice it. what else would you guys do??? pickup is a 08 lmm with 80k on it. thanks.

If you are unsure of the maintenance history, going through all the fluids is probably in order. Starting with the tranny and fuel filter is a good start though. If I can help with filter or fluid recommendations please let me know.

From what I read and told there is no need to change out pan filter unless you have a trans failure. Its only there for that reason. Everyone says just do the spin on.

Allison recommends fluid and filters at 100K. IMO, changing the fluid and filters is just cheap insurance. Did mine at 60K. I do the little red spin on, oil, oil filter and fuel filter every 5k, but that is just me. A lot of guys will go 10-15K depending on engine oil analysis.
