I'll start this by saying I over think everything.
Should I worry about having more than 2 qts. of ATF in my transfer case?
I know some guys are filling the t-case with up to 3 qts. motor oil using the speed sensor hole. I replaced my front drive shaft seal, which was leaking pretty bad for about 500 miles. I topped off the case with Dexron III ATF, which was what was in it. After doing it, I realized I have more than the required 2 quarts in it, because the truck was parked facing downhill in my driveway, which is pretty steep, and I filled it until it started running out good.
I'm thinking I don't have a problem, but I'm wondering if I should be draining and refilling with the recommended 2 quarts only.
Truck is a 2002 CCSB, ATS Trans w/ CoPilot, ATS 4in. Exhaust, Edge Juice w/Attitude run most the time on level 1, because I'm broke, and fuel is expensive.
