looking at getting transgo kit. how do you guys like yours and is it much to put them in?

i like mine, my buddy and i put it in my truck, took about 45 mins, they are pretty easy to install

i dont have enough money to get a whole tranny right now. but i dont wanna hurt my tranny right now when im out playing. just need something to help it out for now.

Its a piece of cake to put it in, just be careful and pay attention. I really cant tell much of a difference since I put it in but it make me feel better when I have the PPE set on level 3.

Is there a DIY on the transgo jr anywhere? Or any kind of info on how much of a PITA if at all it is?

there is a good DIY on the jr. kit over on DieselPlace.com...I used it to help with mine. I highly recommend the jr. kit. I love the results I got with mine.

i paid for it and paid to get it in an it cost like 183 total.

thats a smoking deal there if you mean $183 for the kit and the install. My kits cost right around $100 then probably close to another $100 just for fluid.

it doesnt do much for the 5 speed trans, and the bullydog shift enhancer is junk, the ally learns around it, the best thing for the 5 speed is a rebuild with a converter

ya thats whta i heard to. but the 01 to 05 is just the trans go. the jr is for 6 speeds. but yes i heard exact same stuff on the bully dog shift enhancers

in order to install the trans go kit in the 5 speeds you have to pull the trans, if your already that far you just aswell do a full trans rebuild and a converter

i would say yes, just wait and get it built that way you dont have to worry about it anymore
