turbo gone bye bye
blew tyhe turbo on anew motor from gm 41k into the 100k mile warranty they said the turbow only has a 12k mile warranty they will replace the turbo at cost for 3100 but it will come with only 12k warranty is this a good idea or is there a more durable turbo for less money i tow with the truck everyday not running the juice on it anymore just stock.

x2, its not common for one to let go. Especially the VVT garrets. They're pretty solid unless pushed well beyond their limits.what are your symtoms?? how do your know it is the turbo

Warranties are rigged right from the jump. F#@$ dealers.

I'd tell them to get that engine fixed, it's covered by a 5yr/ 100K mi warranty.
If they won't change it, it'll cost them a new motor when it's ran until it blows apart.
Sounds more like they're trying to extract $$ out of your pocket!!
take all your performance parts of the truck...put some diesel and anitfreeze in your oil and drive it over there

I don't have a clue what it's worth? I just know what I can buy the one I want for?? I figured that I would put it on ebay and see what it would bring. If I when with a bigger one. Some one else posted $2500??? I guess theres is really over priced?

Cool, Its still on truck right now. I may put it on ebay with no reserve if I decided to replace.
