When starting in the cold (30 and below) I hear a very quick squeak just before the vanes move in the turbo. It only does it on the first start of the day below about 30 degrees. Any ideas on what it could be? Thanks in advance.

Sub'd.
I notice a squeak as well, but mine happens warm or cold, just as soon as I accelerate from a stop, then goes away.

Mine only does it cold when the fins move. It's annoying!!! Nobody has any idea what it could be? Soot build up? Anything?

could be because of the cold weather thickening the oil. slight play in shaft, just a thought

It could also be the Vane Actuator

Have you looked into your problem further? Have you found anything?

No I haven't, it warmed up here and I haven't been hearing it. It's supposed to get cold again next week. If it's not cold enough it doesn't make any noise.

Sub'd as mine does it once in a while too. Like right after you start it up.
