2009 Duramax, crusing at 65 and the smoke started pouring with some louder ticking sounds from engene, got her pulles over and shut off, now sitting along road waiting for roll back. Filter is titgh looks mostly washed down front of drivers side of engene..blow an injector?

Check the inter-cooler boot at the bottom -- near the power steering pump. It may have blown off.

louder ticking sound and lots of smoke, sounds like a injector to me. id be vary suprised if it was tho. itll be the first injector issue ive heard of on a LMM.

Are you all stock or are you running some sort of tuning/DPF delete or something in the truck?

Well hopefully it's just an injector and not anything more serious like a craked piston or something. Hopefully you'll be back on the road soon!

In at dealership, they drove it in the shop, fuel is running out from under the drivers side of the engene just cant tell from where, maybe know more when they get it on the lift

fuel pouring out is a good thing believe it or not...in that case its most likely a delivery issue and not an injector or cracked piston

thats what im hoping, i cant imagen injector pumping fuel that fast, its not dripping its running. But cant see much under the hood, is there a return line running on drivers side?

they seem to think its pumping fuel at the base of the first injector front of motor drivers side,,any thoughts?

trying to find a diagrahm of fuel lines, isnt the return on the top? No hassles yet, but would guess there coming, but unless they can prove to me it was the cause they should stand behind it

easy fix then.. shouldnt cost much if they stick it to ya depending on what they throw at you for labor.
