Upper radatior hose

Have anyone ever noticed if their upper radiator hose collapses after the engine has been shutoff for about 5 hours? Well I noticed mine does but ,when I crack open the coolant tank cap it relieves the vacume on the hose is this normal??? 2004 Chevy LB7 bone stock..

i noticed mine done the same thing the other day. I was getting ready to ask the same question

Yes, good idea. There should not be any vacuum in the cooling system. It should suck in coolant from the tank as it cools down.
i cleaned mine with brake cleaner and now it works fine..
Clean ing them out helps make them last..

the problem usually returns. I have an autozone cap for 2 years now.
