I’ve had my snow kit for 8 years now on my 2011, only issue I have is that my controller lost one of the Moffsets , and I don’t have my second solenoid anymore for the power setting. I use mine for towing a lot and it helps keep the Egt’s down nicely.
I also use a kill switch to arm and disarm my controller. I’ve never had a malfunction that caused a hydro lock condition. There’s a few guys here that still use WM , mostly for towing. You wanna go fast, add fuel a little timing and some air, and don’t forget some NOZ
