Deleting the cooler, and blocking the EGR will help, but it won't guarantee that your HGs won't failegr blocker will help the HG problem? or taking the whole egr out

111,893 miles.....had 16,000 on it when I bought it back in 05. It hasn't had a easy life either. use to tow a trailer with it daily, and then the pulling and drag racing on it wasn't easy it on it either.well your also pushing more HP than i am

can you explain that in high school kid terms? lolThere is no gas recirculation at HG integrity loads. An EGR block would not help.
Hands down, the best thing you can do, after the induction hardware issue is fixed, is to tune it with a boost smart tune that makes aggressive timing retard adjustments dynamically with increasing thermal stress. Water injection will also help.
