They never left.

I checked earlier all the way thru the Filter Shootout you 1st complained about.
They're all there, from the 1st carcass to the end discussing the DOHC engine.

No one else has brought up any missing pics, they all see 'em.
Not sure what's changed on your end.....is it your browser? Firewall?

Using Google or Firefox, same problem.
My buddy who writes these programs had the same issue, he says it is in the program.
Neither of us are premium members.
I'll check back in 6 months, maybe they will have the bugs out by then.

Actually, once you spend some time exploring, it's easier to Nav....just a bunch of different terms, new names, new tabs, Active is now Popular tab under the NEW icon. Pages no longer have to reload when you post, just instantly adds your input.
Have been able to navigate a little better, still don't care for it as much as the old. Using dark mode but still hard on my eyes, never had many problems with the old but understand upgrades but for some of us older users change is a lot harder.

Ageism....it's a thing.
Never hear the Left raging 'bout it though.

I've noted a request on the missing pic thing....let's see what comes up.

I swear the many times I’ve heard better, cleaner, faster... it’s not.
So no more classic view?

not really liking the new lay out,,but using dark mode and hitting the "new" tab makes it livable.

Is there a way to post full- size pictures? Not just the little thumbnails that you have to click on

In the process of loading an attachment, you'll see an option appear after the load
Insert: Thumbnail Full Image
Select full image and you're there.

Although you can certainly use the "insert image" icon to upload an image to your post, you can also just drag and drop it to the text editor or even copy/paste it into there!

How To Upload Images To Posts

Start your post and normal and then click on the insert image icon.

It will pop up telling you to drag an image there or click. If you drag and drop it, you will see it show up in your post. If you click, it will allow you to navigate to where it is on your computer.

Then just click the image so it adds the file name for you, then click on open.

Finish adding any content and then simply post your reply.

That's all nice with the short cuts.....but how about all of the THOUSANDS of PICS on past threads that are now missing?
It's been mentioned both here and in PMs......and the response is

How To DIY threads created years ago.....without pics, most are now useless.
All of the time and effort to put the threads together....LOST.

Try to edit; ALL of the host pic links, are GONE.
Without at least those^ links as clues, it's almost impossible to recreate and upload the images again.
It's one thing when the pic Host drops your images, it's something totally different when the site erases it all.

This thread is an example ;

User can't see images, I go back to this 10 year old thread and nadda.
I do research, search my mind for thought trains, find host links and reinsert images that now appear.

Another User then comments that on Tapatalk that they see double images.
Which are the original host pics, followed by my editing with the 2nd images.
So the data is there, it's just not appearing with the new site upgrades.

There are numerous others reported.....I'll look for those.
I recall one reported, that the 1st thread page is blank of images, while on the 2nd page, all of the images are there. <This being a years old thread, far removed from the update install.
1 page with, the other without.....strange.

(pic heavy thread, so I think it might be related)
There's also another issue when viewing new posts in a followed thread.....notated in the 'Alerts' tab.
When you click to see the new post, it drops you into a pic heavy post appearing above the newest one, a post you've already viewed hours earlier.

I've seen it happen repeatedly in this thread for one...click on the latest post (#653) made 17h ago by @carhauler and it will drop you into the post above it (#652)-made 22hrs ago by @hdrolling

Somehow a link in this thread that was intended to take new users to a "New Guy Area" information thread has been misdirected to AV stuff for sale.

This is the thread with the incorrect link in the second sentence "here"

it directs them to this thread

Clearly this is wrong!

@Hook'em_Horns! Can you check the sticky thread to see if it needs to be updated, please?

I looked at it when it was reported....didn't see anything about A/V....changed report status to 'resolved'.
'here' goes to;

That was a thread by Underlord, created 11 years ago. The new format doesn't give me ADmin tools to see behind the link thru 'edit' anymore....just like all of the other things that leave my hands tied (as reported).
