had a similar sound twice. Once it was i was leaking Diff fluid so it was low. The second i replaced one of the rubber seals in my right rear wheel bering but if your not low on fluid idk.

Yea the fluids in both diffs are good it seems to be much worse in the cooler weather and when.the truck is cold... It will still happen once the truck is warmed up but its very hard to hear then... It's almost like the belt but its a new gator back and I've never heard a belt/ pulley make a noise like this?

Update!!! Found the damn noise... It was the v band clamp on the downpipe.. no not cracked but apperantly stripped just enough to not appear loose but rattle at certain rpm's.... Chevy wants $55 for a new clamp I went to peterbuilt and bought a clamp for $12 and just used the bolt off it,and the rattle is gone at last... Hope this helps anyone in the future...
