I can see that. I once rebuilt an engine and when it came time to start putting things back together I painted every part a different color, using up some of the partial cans of spray paint I had laying around. It was sort of a way to illustrate all of the various parts. It was for an old dump truck so it really didn't matter but I though it was fun.Me personally I like the look of the red rotors, flashy colored shocks and aftermarket billet differential covers.
Much better looking than boring factory colors.
I've not done that since. Different times, different applications, different sensibilities, different solutions.
