The common concensus among people seems to be the Autel brand of diagnostic tools, but even amongst that brand, there is dozens of different options and price ranges. Now, a smart person might say that the more expensive the scan tool, the better it is. But then some of us, aka me, are just a little too dumb and broke to make a decision on that. So, I reckon the question I have is, what's a overall cheap one that can give me a thorough and in depth diagnosis on my rig??

I’m going to go with banks power when the funds are available, damn hard to beat. Check them out. Here’s the links…

Ive been patiently searching as well. for an independent repair professional, its hard to beat Autel. I have used the MS-906BT and the Maxisys-Ultra. I personally would buy the 906BT for home use however, I haven't confirmed if it will work with 2019 and newer. Once I know for sure that it will communicate with my 2019, I plan to buy one

Depending on what really need to do or want done, The Autel is a good unit, but there are cheaper options.
Currently I'm using the Greito app which is free, but you can either pay $20 a month for a all inclusive membership, or I paid a one time $30 for just the L5P with future updates, and a quality code reading OBD2 adapter such as the OBD linkMX. For roughly $180 you can do pretty much anything you need to on your truck , and it connects to all the modules, but not all of them can be manipulated.
