I have 305 70 16's but was thinking about going smaller on the next set. I just bought the truck but from what I see on other Duramax's around most people go with 285's. I've got Firestone Destinations on now and they seem like a good ride.

Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVO 2. 265/75R16. Did tons of research. Literally read every article and review I could find on tires for diesel trucks. General tire reviews on tire websites are for the most part P-rated and gasser driven vehicles. Out of literally every review I found for heavy trucks the Bridgestone stood out of the pack. Pretty much couldn't find a complaint other than price. And also had to search tire stores to find them cause the stores have a hard time keeping them on the rack and I think for good reason. About $900 for a set but IMO I think they are well worth it. Largest they make in a 16 are 285's.

I have 265/70 17's Bridgestone Duravis M700's they wear great I have 48,000K on them and still have good tread., great everywhere exept Ice. I looked into a lot of tires and replacing with the same or the Revo 2's is what I am thinking, the Revo 2 is the top rated tire, everywhere I have looked. Just a thought!
