No, isn't that an operator/flight crew AFSC? I was a 2Axxx..acft mx, I can't really remember the exact AFSC, and the last few years it changed a few times anyway. Basically I started out as an Autopilot tech (Maytag repairman on AWACS) :rof. Then we merged into Flight Instruments/Autopilot; then they added INS, but while in AWACS I also CUT into radio nav...anyway by the time I retired I was Integrated Conventional Avionics maintenance i.e. everything except F-15s & F-16s...except that by the time I retired I was really a MX Pro Sup in a fighter (A-10) sqdn...best job in the USAF, if you're not a pilot imho. :D

But my all-time fav aircraft/mission was the F-4G Phantom Wild Weasel...awesome aircraft....awesome capes....awesome people!

Cave Putorium!!!
YGBSM!!!!

P.S. That is not to say that the rescue folks aren't great...I was never in the rescue "world" on active duty, so this is a new experience, they are a really tight knit group and I enjoy working with them.
