just bought a used 2004 2500 duramax with 6.6 motor. has the 5 stage edge juicer and after market exhast. runs great but in the morning truck smokes and sputters. when sitting at red light smokes alot, but if i put in nuetral, smoking stops. i run the chip in #1 mode. once truck warms up it runs fine but does chatter some. any ideas. thanks

could be injectors. Have you checked your oil level? When is the last time you changed your fuel filter and air filter?

only had truck 3 weeks. has 65K miles. will change filters and oil and see if that helps. i know 0 about these type motors. thanks for the input.

make sure there is no diesel in your oil...that will be injectors.....check your oil on a paper towel and see if clear rings extend out from the oil. You could also smell it to see if it smells of diesel.....if it is overfull, you probably have diesel in the oil.
