What's the difference in the PPE Duramaximizer and the Boost Controller? I've seen both of these and would like to know the difference.

THe duramaximizer ( a pressure type box) raises fuel psi making more power where as most other chips/boxes/tuners just add more injection timing and injector pulse. I have no experience with it but i beleive it has its limits to what it can add as the dmax has a hard enough time keeping fuel psi with big programs let alone ask for moer psi. I think it works well by its self but is a good add on to a mild tune also!!!

So maybe a boost controller and a tune would be better than the maximizer?

thats what i have ppe hot et2 and the boost controller and it is awsome, lots of power and i mean stock tranny ripping power...oh ya i just bought a ppe stage V tranny and with the 1057 sun coast converter for that truck, getting it put in next week......i do know of sevaral LBZ's runnin the ppe hot et 2 stacked with the duramaximizer but they are all runnin bigger fuel pumps, and dyno around 500+rwhp...i take it that you don't have any performance tunes on your truck yet so in that case i would recommend the ppe it is a great tuner for the duramax......good luck on your choice
