I haven't really pulled with the truck before and I am wondering. When driving can I just run with the exhaust brake on all the time? We are heading from Northern Nevada to Yellowstone then to Colorado.

towing mostly, but if you like it to downshift using back pressure go for it!!!! just dont be one of those Florida old farts who times lights to save their brakes!!

When im towing with my tow tune my exhaust break is on all the time. if i understand it right the exhaust break on the LMLs is the same thing as having one tuned in with EFI so i would say just turn it on and leave it on. also it will work better if your running tow/haul mode

You might lose a little mpg if you like to coast a lot like us old farts.....

As long as you have a trailer leaving it on all the time is fine. Without a trailer it would probably be OK but you might get some light skidding with no load. It is also a good idea to turn it off in conditions such as wet or snow covered roads unless you really fell you need it.

I truck does not have an exhaust brake. My experience with exhaust brake use come from driving tractor trailers, so your milliage may vary.

Exhaust Brake on, Tow/Haul engaged. Let the Truck do the thinking, you just steer it in the right direction.
