I was wanting to get a service manuel for my lb7 and wasn't sure where to get it at. A used one would be great.

Good luck finding a used one.

New one is $135. I think that's pretty cheap for the amount of money it saves you.

I paid $135 for mine at helm in '05 so it's a steal. It's like a stack of 5 telephone book thick manuals of all configurations of the given year. A buddy of mine saved $900 on a cluster speedometer problem using my manuals, i bet there is 2000 pages dedicated to the LLY in mine..... Best money you will INVEST!

You just call helms and order it or do you do it online.

The set I paid that much for came as ALL configurations of that year.. I have 5 manuals
Driveline and components, Engine (x2), Body, Transmission.
Each manual covers various configurations produced that year.. for example...
05 Engine covers 4.3L, 4.8L, 5.3L, 6L, 8.1L, 6.6D. Transmission covers 4L60, 4L65, Allison 1000.
HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!! you will not be disappointed!!!

BTW. These are the manuals that the GM service technicians use. the five books stacked are over a foot thick.

There used to be a CD too but it was real spendy, and kind of a pain having the PC under the truck for reference :). It takes some work to find stuff sometimes as there is so much stuff in there... I look up stuff for guys in this forum all the time and read it for fun also and learn all sorts of interesting stuff... Merry Christmas!
