I would like a little insite on Industrial Injections 60% overs. A friend of mine has offered to sell me his 60% II injectors for $2,100 they are less than a year old and have a little less than 10k miles on them. I was panning on purchasing these and selling my stock sticks (also less than 10k miles) until i read a few people were not so happy with them. His balance rates did look good before being pulled this i did verify. My next option would be to send my stock sticks to exergy and have them re-work them 60% overs for $2270. This is the way I'm leaning but it will be more out of pocket especially beings i will not have a second set to sell and make up some $$. These will be going on my 15.5 lml with S475 compound kit and 10mm exergy stroker. Please post your thoughts and or experiences and thanks for the help!!

I think that sending your current injectors out to Exergy or even S&S would be your best bet. You have low mileage cores and they even send you flow rates and everything once completed. They are what I would consider to be two of the best in the industry as far as quality control goes and failure rate. This is my opinion based on past experiences and I wouldn't gamble with a set that have already been modified.

thanks for the advise big_turbo_lml! I just got off the phone with PPEI and was told that larger injectors are not really needed under the 700hp mark. I am slowly gravitating away from the II set. I will say that i have no plans to build the motor or push it past the 650hp mark. Are their vendors on here that can hook me up with S&S or Exergy? Im not looking to purchase new injectors but rather send mine in and save a little $$. Also has anyone ran stock sticks on compounds and later upgraded to larger injectors? Is this really worth it? Any other hidden benefits that i'm overlooking?

If you're not looking to go past 650rwhp, then there will be no need to upgrade the injectors. With the S475 over stock and 10mm pump, you could push that set up past 700 depending on having your trans built and could potentially risk hurting the engine at that point. With 60's on your setup, you would notice a good jump in power but that's if you wanted to push it a little harder which can be risky.

Fleece Performance uses S&S and I believe Wehrli uses Exergy. Both are great companies like mentioned before.

If your trans is not built yet than I would steer you away from injectors at the moment and maybe invest in that next.

How far can the stock internals be pushed with the appropriate injectors? My thoughts are that the motor itself is a very very costly fix if it fails or let’s go. I personally feel that making sure the motor is capable of reliably making the power I’m after should be my first steps. If the trans let’s go or shows signs of failing I will cross that bridge at that time. It’s already in the scope and looking like a fall project. The reason the compound kit happened before the trans was because a friend of mine gave me a deal that couldn’t be past up. My plans are now to run tunes on stock sticks with conservative tunes and see if I’m happy with the power. If I am I’ll build the trans and call it finished. If not then injectors will be on the way ?
