hey just woundering which programmer is going to be the safest but give me the most bang for my buck? i dont wanna beef up the tranny just yet and im looking to spend no more then 700$ any help would be greatly appresiated thank you :)

EFI live hands down for the money...if not then do PPE programmer

PPE has excellent tuning and are a great choice. Another option is the new Edge CS or CTS with built in gauges and safety features. You can set your parameters and not have to worry about anything. Edge has also come a long way with their tuning, they are very tough to beat for the dollar spent.

Use the search button on here man plenty of threads about tuners. But I agree with above either efi, PPE, or the new Edge if you want digital guages

What the rest said:drink If you have a good tuner close by i would just have them flash the truck. although i dont no of anybody in that area

thats what i keep hearing but to my knowledge there is no one around me that does efi live. and what ppe should i get? if you guys could post up a link that would be great and thanks for all the info guys. YOU ARE AWESOME

Well without a built tranny I would just get the economy or standard PPE. Just be careful of the higher levels of the standard. I say the standard as you said you don't want to redo your trans yet. So eventually you will outgrow the economy.

Might as well get something to grow into as opposed to buying one and then selling it for an upgraded model.

k probably wont be for another couple weeks but id would definently wanna save that extra 60$ and put it towards a intake :) would you do a combo deal?? maybe with the k&n 57 series intake??
