my truck has been making a weird whining noise.. i jacked the rear end up and got underneath with my dad letting the rear wheels spin and stop.. i found the noise is coming from the seal/cup/rubber piece where the driveshaft goes into the trans.. im wondering if its the seal or a bearing inside the trans?? im thinking it was caused from letting my universal joints get bad before i replaced.. any words of wisdom on this situation? PLEASE! THANKS!

mine was doing the same thing after getting a seal replaced where the drive shaft connects to the rear end...turned out it had something to do with the crush plate or something like that(right there where it connects to the rearend.) I took it back to the dealer and they had it fixed in no time.
