I have seen this advertised and watched a number of video's on this product and it seems like it could be a fantastic product.

Wondering if anyone here has actually seen it or has one. They show the product is not available and backordered.

Looking for any info on this one.

@2019LTZ2500 ,

Hello there. Just ordered mine the other day. There is a new procedure now, you order the autosync from BTdiesel works, then order the BCM tuning from white auto.

Did you end up pulling the trigger on this?

I was a little put off by how they changed the procedure, I don't understand why what was advertised as a stand alone programmer now requires 2 players. I am in a holding pattern waiting to see what happens with it. I am sure member like yourself and others will give us all the straight scoop on this. I really do hope this product does turn out to be a winner, when you consider what GM gets for minor programming changes it would pay for itself the first time its used.

Yea, I hear you.

From what I understand, it's basically a partnership between two guys. The one guy made autosync, they other guy specialized in BCM programming (white auto).
I guess white auto due to all the covid pressure said we're not going to sell autosync anymore. You still have to pay the same amount, roughly $600. Just that you have to do it with two different vendors now.

Yes, I'll be sure to update once I get it in and working.

So what happened was basically two fold. The first was a customer satisfaction issue being that no matter how hard we tried people were not reading the description/instructions and were under the impression that the tool arrived ready to program when in fact it still had to be registered/setup and then licensed to the vehicle; think of this like HP Tuners for your BCM etc. While that is a pretty simple process again the instructions were skipped and the amount of support time it generated was well above what it should have been. Also no matter how many times it said tool only/optional programming in the description we still had people that somehow thought it included a programming license.

Breaking the combos up forces people to read the description of the license which explains exactly how to accomplish the second part of the process and thus far has lead to a much smoother process for both parties. You purchase the unit from BTD (for the time being) then purchase the license from us (following the instructions under the license) if you follow the instructions you'll be up and running in no time!

The second part of this is BTD had been out of units for over six months which as you can imagine is a pretty big strain on a business. We wanted them to try to recoup some of their losses and the easiest way we could think of was to simply refer them all of our tool sales which also nets the consumer a lower price as well.

So long story short same thing, just two different vendors, lower price and hopefully a better experience.

Hey Chris,
Awesome, thanks for the explanation. Makes a lot of sense. I'm looking forward to your custom programming.
I'm still waiting on my autosync.

Interesting to say the least, As much as I would like the ability to change programming on my vehicle considering the costs AND the risks of having to deal with 2 separate companies really concerns me.

Its tough enough to get one company to support their products when troubles come up, I can imagine dealing with two each blaming the other. I would have loved to use this product to accomplish my goals.
Im Sorry, the rewards just don't justify the cost and possible hassles along the way. When you have problems dealing with GM is enough of a challenge. On top of that I have no want to change the tuning of my vehicle (I use Banks engineering performance products for that, fantastic service, great documentation on all their product and free phone support!) Besides I just want to be able to change a couple of items in the BCM, one delete the DRL so I can install HIDS, second add the Fast idle option to my Duramax and change some features to my camera display.

At this point to accomplish this it will be much less hassle and cheaper to just have the dealership do it for me plus I won't have any issues with having to have 2 things plugged into my OBDII port that might not want to peacefully co-exist. IMO I think the best thing BTD and White can do at this point is spend some time and a little money to have a professional do one heck of a technical write up on what and how their product works including all the options and costs, not a short youtube video on it. Especially if they expect someone to drop $600 bucks on it. I do wish them the absolute best success with their product and hope it catches on. We need more vendors to develop end user products for the Duramax platform that allow owners to be able to change things without dealer intervention.

So, I have a question for you, Chris. Well, more of a confirmation, really. Does the dongle have to stay plugged into the OBDII port for the functions to work, or can you program the BCM and once done, pull the dongle out to allow other devices, such as an Edge Insight CTS3 (not programmer, just reader), to work normally?

I received an email last week saying the dongles were back in stock, but didn't bite the bullet just yet, as I'd like to see how well it works for others here. Will probably hold off until Tim (Viper8315) gets his installed and has a chance to evaluate it.

One other question, the website shows its good up to '22, but the pull down shows only '21, so can you confirm the '21 is identical to the '22? Or, more importantly, '22 is fully-supported now? I can tell you first-hand, the '21 and '22 OBDII programming has changed while dealing with that CTS3, things that could be done on the '21 was not available for my '22 until they modified the firmware and released several updates.

Yeehaw...music to my ears.
@2019LTZ2500 , @flyinhawaiian968
Here's my plan...
Unplug banks stuff (they will go into safety bypass mode)
Plug in autosync
Reprogram BCM with Autosync/white auto features
Shut down truck
Plug in banks stuff
Restart truck
Profit

@GTPprix , does that sound like a decent approach?

Yup that'll work just fine!

Thanks for the super-quick reply, Chris! Tim, let us all know how the whole process goes as soon as you can! I'm now getting excited to spend more damned money on this freakin' truck!!!

Yeah, wife is gonna kill me...

Oh man, the pressure! 🤪

Later on tonight I'll do a deep dive search on the forums. Someone else had to do this already.

I also already saw some YouTube videos as well.

We'll see what happens...

Instant strobe lights with no running wires. 😎
I'm going to drive up to your hood and wait until your shift is done just so all your buddies can see a cool kid truck. 😈
Although, on second thought, you could have me pulled over and proceed with a safety inspection. 🤪. At least one ticket is easy with the tinted windows...

A what? What's that? Us city guys don't have time for that. I can make a call to friends in low places tho - you got a long ride home

😈
I'm going to go slow with this thing though. Hyperflash, fogs on with highs, parking lights only for approach/exit lighting.

#21 ·
I sure wish the fogs put out more light than they do now, but it does make a slight difference with the highs and fogs on. Yeah, I did the cheap-arse mod with a diode. Also did the other mod with another diode to have the front-facing mirror lights on with high beams, but it only works in park, haven't gone any further to find the offending park signal wire to that circuit to bypass it with a parking light signal.
Diodes and relays are my favorite electronic toys! LOL!

@flyinhawaiian968 ,
Morimoto XB LED fog light and headlight assemblies...for, the, win
Image

They are bright, have proper projector lenses with crisp cutoffs, and 100 street legal because of DOT approval. Properly aimed, they won't blind people.

#27 ·
Sure does look good on your truck!
Looks like they have a set of their 2stroke led lamps for the '21, so should be good for my '22. Was looking at the Diode Dynamics replacement kit too, but at $360, and having to replace the oem housing too, I might just go with the Morimotos.

Launch control, yeehaw! Tracking info says Monday! Can't come soon enough!!!

Yeehaw! Too bad I'm heading on a road trip to go snowboarding shortly. Welp, it'll have to wait until Monday...

Hey! What's more important??? Gettin' cold and breakin' bones, or playing with your truck and posting results here?

LOL!

Oh yea! Bye Bye Hyperflash FOREVER!!!!

Dude, there's so many options in this programming, it'll make your head spin.

#32 ·
That would have been perfect that one time I went out with my boat and the wiring in my 7 way was loose! 2 hours of driving with the dic whining about the trailer lights not working!!!

So, are you able to program all of this on your own, or do you have to send the list you want to White Auto? Maybe you could 'splain the whole process here!!!

#33 ·
I do a better writeup in a few days.
So, you just have to wait for WAMS to activate your autosync license after you make the purchase.
After that, it appears to be completely at your disposal. Don't need them to do change anything for you. You just make the change in your portal, and the autosync downloads it (as long as it's connected to WIFI) then you flash your BCM.
I'm currently waiting for WAMS to unlock the BCM programming.
I was able to start building a custom BCM tune already though...

#34 ·
Well, you got me convinced, dammit! Just paid for the dongle, will get the programming paid for when it arrives.

#35 ·
LoL nice. Yea, definitely wait until you have the autosync dongle in hand, and setup, and registered before you make the purchase from WAMS. It seems like it's key in this entire process.
