I have seen this advertised and watched a number of video's on this product and it seems like it could be a fantastic product.

Wondering if anyone here has actually seen it or has one. They show the product is not available and backordered.

Looking for any info on this one.

Just place your order for it already. 🤪

Trust me, I'm looking forward to it. Got the email this morning that my BCM programming license is active. I logged into my portal on my phone, and it's unlocked. Yeehaw.

Oh, and for anyone with the 17-19 trucks, just do yourself a favor and buy the SDG adapter harness. A lot easier than changing pins on a connector under a dash panel.

So, quick update, it works. I gotta say if you just follow the directions you'll be fine. So far I have only changed my welcome lighting and exit lighting to use the fog lights instead of the headlights. I also disabled hyperflash. I'll get more of a post written when I have more time.

Got my email this morning from BTD, its shipped, but they might have screwed up and shipped USPS instead of UPS like I paid extra for. Kind of a bummer, was hoping to have it by Friday or Monday. Might be an extra week now.
Guess I'll just have to see how you're doing with yours for now....

Yea, I'm thinking it's a one man show at BT. It's well worth the wait.
Like I said, I took things slow for now. There's so many options it makes your head spin. Now, granted, I'm also on the previous generation truck as well. You might have a little less until they release new stuff. Website description at WAMS seems to be very similar though.

My biggest things are TPMS adjustment, fogs on with high beams so I can remove the diode, most likely remove 100mph limiter (wish I could just adjust that up about 10-15mph but oh well) and a couple of other lighting options, like what you did for entry/exit lighting. I'm sure I'll find a bunch of other stuff once I get it though!

Can't believe it got here so fast! I literally got an email from Ben yesterday morning about it shipping out!
Time for me to get this project movin'!!!

I still blame Viper for it all! BWAAAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!!!

Well, seeing that I've been posting here way more than I really should, that may just happen! Too much time, sitting in my office, printing long jobs with nothing else to do but read posts on here!!!

So..."the process" is really pretty straightforward. You make an account on the autosync BT tuning portal. Use the same email you used for the purchase, and it looks like it automatically finds your autosync serial #. Pair the autosync to your home WiFi using the included USB cable to power the device. Plug it in to the truck and let it sync up. I went back to my portal and it had my truck listed and VIN.
Then I placed my order on WAMS, entered my VIN, autosync S/N. In an hour or so I had the capability to create a BCM "tune". You get to pick all your options, hyperflash off, strobe lights, surveillance mode, approach & exit lighting, etc. It's really too much to list.
Once your done, you go back in the truck, update the firmware over WiFi which downloads your selections.
Initiate the BCM reflash, the autosync appears to backup your stock image first, then puts on the new one.
You will get some codes when the BCM goes offline during programming, the autosync prompts you to shutoff the truck then back on, and it automatically clears the codes.
Then you're done.

Yep, the first part was pretty easy to do, already set up the account and got the dongle linked up. Problem now is I can't really go forward until Chris @ WAMS changes the web page for the programming.
My truck's a '22, that's not an option in the drop down menu, I'm afraid if I set it up as a '21, the programming won't be correct. Not sure if that dropdown controls which "BCM tune" is loaded to the BTD account.
Sent a pm from this forum to Chris @ WAMS but no reply yet. Gonna send an email through his website now, hopefully I can get it paid for and loaded to my account so I can play around with it over this weekend!

Well, sent that message to Chris, got a reply in about 3 minutes! I gotta say, this guy is on top of his business! Site will be updated in about 10 minutes, just waiting so I can get my programming!!!

#52 ·
Wow, awesome! Glad to hear. Smart of you to sit tight and wait.

Yessir, just think of what you can do with surveillance mode...
You can set a one button trigger that shuts off all exterior lights and dims the internal lights to a level you can't reach with the dimmer switch.

Back in the office, just checked, its updated! Paid for and now waiting patiently for my programming to show up on BTD's account page!!!
Excited to check out all the options for my truck!!! I'll post here once I get it set up.

I tried last night, but honestly it was going to take like 10 screen grabs for me to get it all. It's a lot...

kind of a bummer, still haven't gotten the programming yet. Chris emailed, said he wasn't able to get to the programming files, sounded like he's out of town or something. Hoping to see the programming pop up by Monday.

Was talking with a coworker at work. I brought up this piece. He told me his buddy's son has one for his '17 and was showing him over the weekend the things it did. He was really impressed and it made him want to get one for his '21 Denali.

Quick update, Chris @ WAMS said my ecm needs to be updated to the latest OS before I can get the file(s) to show up on the BTDiesel account. Luckily, I have it scheduled for an oil change tomorrow and a couple of recall updates, so I'll get the tech to make sure my ecm is updated to the correct OS. Chris was able to let me know which update version I need, so I'll make sure its correct before leaving the lot. Gonna try to update it using my phone as a wifi hotspot for the dongle, hoping that it works!

lol, thanks Tim! Used to this kinda stuff, nothing ever goes nice and smooth around this damned shop!!!

Okay....
Was gonna do a quick screencap of the BTD account page to show what it looks like when no programming is available. Lo and behold, I have programming!!! Confirmed with Chris @WAMS, they set all the parameters and now its showing everything I can adjust! Get ready, here comes a ton of screencaps!

So, starting off, this is the main screen from the BTDieselworks account page. You have to set that up first to get the dongle (the little obdii plug you purchase through BTD's website) working and set for your account:

Selecting "BCM >" gets you to all the stuff you can screw up, errr, I mean, change, on your truck! This will NOT BE AVAILABLE until you purchase BCM programming through White Auto and Media! Once you do, there's a drop down list of all the things you can modify.

First item, lighting! This is just one of literally over a hundred screens in the programming. As you can see, I've already changed a couple things with my approach lighting theme:
Image

Chris @ WAMS has done a nice job explaining each and every item available, if you're unsure, or afraid, leave that item alone! Believe me, you'll be afraid of some of the settings! Sure as hell don't wanna screw something up on a brand new truck!!!
Another screen cap of just one of the many foglight settings:
Image

There are lots of notes so you are aware of what the item can or cannot do, along with things that may not work as intended. Again, Chris explains it all in good detail. I want to be able to control my fogs when I WANT, not when the TRUCK WANTS, so, move onto the other foglight settings. I can now turn fogs on with low beam, with high beam, and I think with parking lights when dark, will have to confirm this when I get truck back from its oil change.

Along with just settings, there are things you can physically modify too! For instance, here's the headlight switch mod:
Image

This one requires that you remove the spring load from the switch! While Chris doesn't give you a complete procedure to disassemble the switch, if you're willing to go this far, you probably know how to disassemble stuff already, or at least use youtube to find someone who's already done this before!

There are a few items that cannot be done just with this set of tools and the dongle. First item, remote start timer:

Image

As you can see, this requires additional ecm calibration adjustment to change the timer. If Chris from WAMS is reading this, perhaps you could put a quick link here to that additional requirement, or explain what is needed to allow the custom value. If those who purchase this from you and BTD are like me, they will probably not know where to look for this information. Luckily, I'm not interested in changing this setting, so let's move on.

The big one for me is this item! No, I'm not looking to enter my truck in the Daytona 500, but there are those times when I'm on a 2-lane highway, there's that guy who refuses to pass slow trucks, and there's not a mile of clear passing area. You got a truck, 2 semis and enough open road to punch it and get around them, but the truck wants to limit you to 100mph. Yeah yeah yeah, I know, the speed police are gonna comment on how this is way too dangerous! Whatever!!!

For those of you who need just a little more, here ya go!
Image

So, I thought the limiter was either an all or nothing setting, but as you can see, you are able to set it to whatever you want, up to an unobtainable 310mph!

There you have it! A full write-up of the WAMS/BTD programmer "kit"! As I said earlier, my truck's in for an oil change and some recall/updates, but if there's an issue I'll be sure to post it up here!
