I have seen this advertised and watched a number of video's on this product and it seems like it could be a fantastic product.

Wondering if anyone here has actually seen it or has one. They show the product is not available and backordered.

Looking for any info on this one.

So is Manual High Idle (UF3) available to be added or does it require change to the ECM tune?

#66 ·
@2019LTZ2500
If you leave the Autosync in the OBD port it will always be available in it's menu.

I will go check the menu and report back to you.

@2019LTZ2500 ,

I do not see high idle in the BCM tuning. It is most certainly available to activate with the autosync in the OBD port.

I did buy a OBD splitter, I have yet to try it with the Banks stuff and the Autosync plugged in at the same time. I need to contact BT and WAMS and ask them if they think it'll work.

#69 ·
Wait, what?

It's under system?

I wonder if it's a 17-19 vs 20+ thing...

#70 ·
Idunno, but I remembered seeing it there today when I was playing around with it. What I can't find is the TPMS setting, Chris said there was something there but I can't find anything related to it. Think he said all you can do is turn the warning on/off.

I suppose I deserve that...

Viper, for what its worth Banks tech support will say the do not recommend using any other products (other then Banks products) Y'd into the OBDII port while using their products. I only have the single Data Monster and wanted to re-use my old CTS2 to give me easy access to additional and even though the CTS2 is a product that only monitors they said it could cause problems especially is your using a Pedal Monster or Derringer.

UF3's a biggie with me and would justify the cost of this unit but if I would need to disconnect the unit or even require the ECM to be flashed. Considering I only want the DRL and UF3 option looks like the dealer will be my move in a couple of weeks. Dumping the DRL will give me the ability to add HID's and the all lights on diode kit is super cheap and will give me the rest.

Doesn't make sense to drop 600 on something I can do for under $300.00 especially if i still need to visit the dealership to do a ECM flash. Jury is still out no rush we will see. Perhaps there is some option your unit will do that I would just kill for, lol

Keep up the great posts on your progress!

Let us know how the UF3 goes at the dealership.......I have 2 I need to do.

Yea, I see your point @2019LTZ2500 ,
For me, I wanted hyperflash gone and I wanted to change my approach/exit lighting.
Yes, I've read that about the banks stuff as well. I'm going to contact WAMS and see why @flyinhawaiian968 has it, but not me.

Hey Tim, got a question for ya.
Have you been in the Autosync menus in your vehicle already? I can't seem to get into that part at all, not sure if its able to since mine is a '22. Found that you CAN adjust your TPMS from the BTD side of the dongle, but nothing on the WAMS programming side.
If you have, what's your steps to get into it? I've done the following with no luck:
1. plug in dongle to obdii port
2. press/hold start 8 seconds to get to ON no run
3. press cruise control cancel button, nothing
4. press and hold same for up to 30 seconds, nothing
Start from the start, this time starting engine and trying the rear defrost button 4 times, nothing there either

Sent an email to BTD, but thought I'd see if you might see something I'm not doing right.

#77 ·
I don't think you get the autosync menus on the 20+, I think it's BCM tuning only...

#78 ·
Bummer, that's what I was thinking you were gonna say. Guess I'll have to hit the dealership to have them lower the TPMS sensor warning. Luckily, that's the only thing I'm missing with the BCM programming, perhaps Chris will find a way to incorporate that down the road.

I wanted to give the final write up on the UF3 addition, see this thread for detailed info:
Adding RPO code UF3

Anyhow I would like to add a couple of comments. According to the GM techs that was finally able to add UF3. Any options or changes that affects engine or transmission in any way must be made
in the ECM. Code UF3 (high idle) is done both in the BCM (because it is accessed by the cruise control which is optioned in the BCM) then the actually operating parameters are in the ECM so that is way the Autosync programmers would not be able to do it. Since I was right next to the tech when my truck is done I watched him download the complete ECM programming from GM. He explained that everything goes thru GM, the VIN is provided, the requested RPO code is given to GM,.

A new ECM load is compiled by GM and downloaded into his GM service laptop then the ECU is completed reprogrammed. Check sums for the load are verified. So its not just adding an RPO option via the TIS2000 software as it use to be in the prior days its the complete load which is encrypted.

I do wish I could find out more about the GM side of this equasion for the ECU but this is apparently top secret info that few have access to. Apparently many to the contracted outfitters have access to the code for the BCM but not the ECU. Its amazing how we all have spent fortunes on these truck and have such little access to what makes them work. lol

Yes, I can confirm this. UF3 requires two steps in which not only do you have to modify the ECM's programming to allow the option, but also the BCM's programming to turn the option on or off. WAMS/BTDiesel's programming is only for turning BCM options on/off/modify settings that the ECM has allowed access to.

FYI, update on my last posts about TPMS sensor adjustments. I have successfully changed my tpms sensors, by myself, using Gretio and my OBDLink MX+ dongle, this allows whatever pressure you want the tires to be at, so I can confirm the ECM does NOT need to be programmed solely by a dealership's tech for this option.

Can you tell me if the Gretio/OBDLink MX can correct an invalid readings? I have TPMS sensor on one wheel that reads about 8psi lower then the actual tire pressure. And of course the dealership says the only way to fix it is to replace the sensor.

That really doesn't sound right to me, you would think they would have a way to re-calibrate it. Also, what else can you do with the Gretio and my OBDLink MX+ dongle. Thx

So, I just updated my autosync today to 3.26, and now I can't access BCM tuning anymore. I've tried updating the firmware multiple times. Anyone else have this issue?

#82 ·
All fixed up, self induced problem. Updated too many times too quickly and got rate limited. Contacted Ben via Facebook and he reset my account.

#83 ·
Lol, was just typing back to you! Figured I'd try to update mine and it just finished to 3.26 (webpage said "AutoSync-v3.06 - Update required" before update). You find any new items on yours? From what I can see, nothing new on my WAMS tuning section.

#86 ·
Hmmm, I don't think you can adjust the final reading (sorta like a speedo calibration) from within Gretio, but you know who could answer that one? The app designer of Gretio, @Snipesy ! We're lucky to have him here as a member!

I really haven't played much with Gretio, other than adjusting the reported pressure to the BCM so it doesn't continue to whine about low pressure when I'm below 65psi. I do know you can create gauges based on all the PID's from your truck, as it searches for these PID's when you first install the app and connect to the truck. Try searching for gretio here, there's a good bit of info and screen shots of things that can be done with it. For me, I have a cts3, so I use that mainly for my data, but I did put a couple of gauges in gretio to see actual tire pressure from each tpms sensor. Its very similar to Torque Pro's app in how you can lay out screens of gauges and check/reset dtc codes, but you can also do a service and standard regen with gretio too.

Yeah, your right, after some calls (including the dealer which was clueless) I was told by Discount tire to come in they will replace the sensor and just reconfigure the system to see the new sensor.
Seems like the way to go.

Ok you guys have had some time to play with the White Auto and Sync System. I would like your honest reflection on your purchase. Now obviously if you received some sort of discount or incentive you would not be able to give a true perspective and in that case simply just don't comment.

However for those un-encumbered by discounts or kickbacks share your views, was it worth it, if you had to do it again would you? Finally, were you able to accomplish your goals and comments, what didn't work, what needs to be fixed. Comments by the manufacture are also welcome. If this product needs to be refined this would be a good place to point out what the issues are and get them addressed.

I bought it, no incentives or discounts, it wasn't cheap. Got it mostly for lighting options and speed limiter adjustment, for which it works incredibly well. It does NOT do TPMS pressure warning adjustments which I was hoping they would add on in the future, but as of now that has not happened. I did talk to BTD about it and the owner said he was adding this on, but haven't heard anything on it in months and just decided to use Snipesy's Gretio, which worked perfectly for that part.
Would I do it again? Yes, happy with what it does!

#92 ·
Yes, glad I bought it. No discount, paid full price. I was able to forever turn off the bulb check/hyperflash which was driving me absolutely nuts with the LED tail lights. Before I bought autosync/BCM tuning I went to the dealer in person and asked them to disable it, I even said I will pay for it. They refused stating, we won't modify the truck from factory config.
I have also adjusted my wake up/exit lighting to use the fog lights instead of the headlights. This comes in handy at zero dark thirty leaving for fishing so I don't blast my neighbors houses with light.
All and all, glad I did it, and I'd do it again without hesitation.

So when it was all said and done what was the final bill to get it fully up and running with the hardware and subscription.

2 other questions, are you able to fully disable daytime running lights or could you just switch them to your fog lamps, also do you need to leave it plugged into your OBD2 port all the time.
Thanks to all that replied, I still kicking this mod around. If Dodge comes out with the new 2500 with the rumored REAL Allison 9 or 10 speed tranny I might jump ship.
