Well I guess Murphy got me I am in the middle of replacing the fuel injectors and removed the fuel filter and housing. The wiring to the fuel heater is intact but there are tow wires -- black and red and a blue one tied into the same harness that have broken off of somewhere. Does a

nyone know where.

Sorry it is a 2009 GMC duramax Lmm heavily modified.
Probably goes to the WIF sensor on the bottom of the filter.
Thanks for the quick reply -- Yes that is where it goes. I did look there but on second look I see where the wires are broken off flush with the bottom of the plastic insert on the bottom of the filter. So I guess I will pickup a new one even though water should not be an issue because i have just installed the Fass pump and filters (water and dirt) to help protect my new $$$ injectors.
the fass doesn't have a water sensor so if you get bad fuel and fills up it will just start sending water so you should fix it. while that will probably not happen why tempt fate to do it you.
Yes Fass does not have a water sensor but they do claim that water cannot get by water filter -- it will plug and stop fuel flow (and engine). But I will be getting new water sensor irregardless and a couple of spare fass filters
Don’t bet on water not getting by the Fass system, on the 2011 the WIF sensor alerted of water in the fuel. Sure enough the Fass filters were overwhelmed by a load of contaminated fuel and the stock filter was loaded with water although a lot times the sensor doesn’t work correctly we feel that the warning could of very well saved the CP4. This has convinced me to keep the stock filter system in place on all our trucks even with a lift pump filter system which I would also recommend on these trucks.

fass likes propaganda a lot. I've noticed they like to "enhance" their story a lot. I would not believe for a second their system knows the diff between water and diesel
You can always go with the CAT filter conversion kit. Then you don't need those wires anyway.
