Stopped by Lowes this afternoon and then went to fill up the truck. Everything normal to this point.

Left the truck running, filled the truck and when I got back in I had a CEL, Parking Assist Disabled Warning in the DIC and the little bar that normally shows what gear the truck is in is now gone.

As I had no tools with me, drove the truck home less than 2 miles and it will not shift out of first gear. After stopping to back into the driveway, the truck shifted into reverse extremely hard.

Saw on another forum where this is normally caused by a failure of the neutral safety switch. Has anyone here ever seen this type of failure?

Assuming it is the safety switch, would appreciate a part number if anyone has one.
