How do you know. ABS has been standard for years now.

 

Thats what I thought but when you push the brakes on ice they only lock up no anti-locking there. The owners manual say "your car may have anti-lock brakes if the light lights up on the dash when you start it" I can see where the light is but it does not light up.

 

is could be added but it would be a major pain in the ass. and could get a little expensive. junkyard would probably be your best bet for it

No problem, BTW I bought an 07 Impala last June and we love it. It is great car.

 

We haven't had it to long but it seems like a solid car. It drives and rides nice the only thing I don't like is the it doesn't have ABS.

 

ive had 2 of them...an 07 and now and 06.both with the 3.5 engine..and neither had abs...i actually perfer it that way..gives me more control which i like..but they are great cars..i love mine!

 

You could also check the fuses and see if it has a ABS fuse.

I got a 06 impala LT with the 3.9 I freakin love that car. So comfortable to drive Id take it cross country in a heart beat.

 

good to know. I would have never guessed in a million years that as late as 2007 you could get any car without ABS as standard equipment...

 

i was shocked as well with both of ours still enjoy the car..abs isn't really a big deal for me either way im fine!
