i have 2008 3500hd duallie i was thinking of the 19.5s ,
anyone done this and what tire size did you go with ,
i dont want to go a whole lot bigger dia than stockm, fuel economy is bad enough

If your worried about fuel economy, why spend 2k on wheels and tires? :rof If you can afford the wheels and tires, you can probably afford 1-2 miles per gallon. But rest assured, you will lose it. If you want some good lookin duals though i would get something like eagle alloy wheels. They make some pretty sharp 17-19s. You could go with a 17 or 18 and an economical tire and maybe not lose anything, or at least not as bad.

i would go with the 19.5's since you will have alot more tire options and the tire size you need to go with is the 225-70R19.5 or if you want a tad bit more hieght then stock go with the 245-70R19.5..22.5's are cool looking but tires are gonna cost you more then the 19.5's.

let me know if i can set you up with wheels.

American Force Wheels, Bad News! No Warranty!

SORRY TO POST ONTO AN OLD THREAD, BUT I THOUGHT I'D PUT MY TWO CENTS IN.

We installed numerous sets of the 19.5" American Force direct bolt-on wheels a while back. They did fit well, and the aluminum wheels were good looking.

The problem is that the clearcoat peeled off of the wheels. When we called American Force to warranty the wheels for our customers, we were told that the wheels were out of stock, and that they would deal with the situation when they got them back in inventory. This was over a year ago.

In the meantime, on the advice of American Force, we replaced the wheels for the customers with the ones from American Eagle. Great people over there by the way.

Now that we have the American Force wheels back, they refuse to offer us any help on the cost of the warranty. I have called them numerous times with regard to the issue, and was initially promised $300 per set to offset the cost of repolishing the finish.

Now when I call Ray to check on the money, I am told that "we're done talking buddy. I'm not paying you anything. Sue me."

Note. I purchased and installed 8 sets of these things from the company. Quick math tells you that you still make money if you return these three sets.
Quicker math tells you not to ever buy a product from a company who doesnt stand behind it

Big Red, I really like the way your truck looks. :drink

I am also going to 19.5 when my stockers wear out. After talking to many folks on this board, it appears that the best deals on 19.5s are through Mrwheeldeal.com. While the website isn't very fancy and no prices are listed. All you have to do is send him an email outlining what you want and he will respond with pricing and availability. While I haven't ordered mine yet, others on the board have and all seem to be very happy.

Let us know which way you go and post some pics when you are complete. Good luck.

With my steel wheels you can deffinetly tell they are heavy.(not now with efi live, much better then the edge I had). Gas milage has not changed, if anything it has been better witht he 19.5's. If you go aluminum then the weight is not a problem. They do drive great in the snow too!
