I have a 2006 lt duramax with the bose stereo. I don't see an onstar button on my rearview mirror, am i suspossed to have one? I thought that a loaded lt model with the bose should have onstar. I'm wanting to upgrade to a dvd, navigation unit, and if they ask me if it has the bose with onstar what do i say? thanks

That's weird, I thought they all had it..... I would have to say answer no to the onstar and yes to Bose....? I'm not sure it matters as far as install goes. The adapter may be different though.... let us know what you find out. Never heard of this.

on the 06 trucks when they went to the goofy option package configurations, onstar was optional on even the highest-end trucks.

On 05 and earlier if you got a fully loaded truck with the heated bucket seats etc.. it automatically came with onstar. 06-07 classic you could get a fully loaded truck with bose, heated buckets, auto climate control etc WITHOUT onstar.

07.5+ gmt-900 they made onstar standard in every trim-level, even the base model work trucks.

The trucks with a short antenna on the roof have OnStar-- the flat box on the roof right side is for the XM. Newer vehicles combine them into one antenna. :)
