Hey all!

Well I installed my lift pump and now my fuel mileage is crap. I got my truck tuned with efi live and it was at 14mpg around town. Then I installed a lift pump and i constantly get 12mpg around town.

Its killing me! Im not sure why. Is that normal for everyone else? At over $4 a gallon Im really thinking about taking it out.

That is hand calculate.

Ya thats sorta what I figured. But, all the sites say the pump is suppose to help with fuel mileage

Jason, still having the MPG issue?
Yes sir. I was getting about 14 around town and 20 highway after efi live. Now Im getting 12 and 18. After TS I might order some T's and make a bypass for it.

just think about how much harder the cp3 is having to work if it wasn't getting the fuel it needed pre lift pump install though...it may be better to setup an economy tune with less fueling and keep the pump for when its needed
Ya I hear that. But Ill make my CP3 work for $4 a gallon! :rofl

TM, I don't know that I would bypass the airdog and make the cp3 pull vac on the fuel through the additional fittings. Every time you add a fitting/bend you lose pressure, increasing the amount of vacuum that the cp3 has to pull over factory. Not sure how you set it up, but its something I would look at.

I might also look for the friction coefficients of the metal lines vs the rubber fuel lines that come with the AD, the friction might be greater in the tubing, but that doesn't matter when you have the AD.

Just some food for thought, don't want to see you blow the cp3 due to extra vac needed through the new lines.
Ya I wanted to see if I could find a Y fitting instead of a T fitting. Id just need 2 T fittings and rubber hose.

I got a Raptor. Its a little different then the AD. It just goes inline in the fuel line. Also, the stock line has ruber as well.

Curious, now. Gonna wait to install ye olde lift pump a-waiting on my work bench. I mean, at $4 a gallon and steadily approaching summer, I ain't about to backwards progress, my friends. Had that bad boy ready for install later today or Friday...but now...eh...
What brand did you get?
