What color truck is the best?

White is the best because every time it snows it is like I have a brand new truck! And every time it is always a different truck to boot.

Please ignore the dirty part of the truck. It has not been washed since I got it because we live where the closest pavement is not terribly close to the house. I guess it does get a bit of a wash every time it rains.

Most of my trucks have been Black as it’s absolutely beautiful when it’s new and clean. But then comes all the swirls and scratches. I live on gravel so I decided to go a different route this time. I think there a lot of cool colors out there, I like chrome on dark colors and blackout on light colors. I picked this based on the fact I wanted the Z71 Sport package and thought this looked the best. l must have done good as the 2 days it was at the dealership before I picked it up 10 people wanted to buy it….

I think we need a photo montage of @SkyChimp 's truck and @LowOnCash 's truck for who wins.

Red, cause that is what I wanted.

We have to drive a mile of gravel road, so always pick a light color for cars or trucks. Our current 2003 Duramaz/diesel 2500 HD is a pewter color with tan leather seat interior. It only has 154,000 miles on it, so we're keeping it. Can't afford a new one.

Like the title says, vote for your favorite truck color, then post below and tell us why it's white (because what other color is anyone honestly going to pick???).

If you post below, only irrational and nonsense reasons are allowed.
White because I live in a climate that reaches 115 deg. and all the black or dark colors have the top surfaces burnt from the extreme heat here. Lake Havasu City, Arizona.

Dang Hightower, you must live on the cool side of town. Over here on the South Side we see 120*. Ha Ha

You will find yourself spending a lot less time washing it. I went with the white or light colors on all my vehicles 25 years ago and haven’t been sorry since.

Black does look great on the showroom floor, but the practicalities of life.... scratches, rock chips, washing/waxing swirls, and all the things mentioned previously takes that "new" joy away.... and water based paints now universally used just aren't are hard or scratch resistant as in the past, with lacquer/solvent based paints. Never go black is my motto now... and in the Southern U.S., as the heat and older vehicle's A/C aren't quite as efficient, isn't great either. Heat is the enemy of these new digital, haptic, or touch based controls on the video screens in the cab too.
