Brake Problem

I have a 2008 2500HD and when I pull my new Keystone Toy Hauler, after a short distance my brakes will apply on my truck all by themselves. They will stay applied until I stop and wait for them to cool down and then I can move the truck without the brakes being stuck. Can anyone point me in the direction to what would be causing this to happen. I am thinking that I may have a bad Electric Brake Controller, Brake Light Switch, what could my brakes to apply on my truck?

Are you saying that the brakes on the truck are locking up? Or are your brakes on the trailer locking up?

Man, I've never heard of the truck brakes locking up on their own. I know if the RV plug isn't wired to match the truck, the trailer brakes will be locked.

Maybe someone else here has.

Keep us posted!

The hydro booster has a washer to align the master cylinder push-rod when you assemble it. If the washer is missing, that will keep the piston applied a little and block the return port. As the fluid expands from heat, that can apply the brakes. Also if the booster piston does not return all the way, it can do the same.

Do you have the integrated brake system-??

Pulling the trailer should not affect it, except you may be using the brakes more, and generate more heat.

It's rare, but the HB can fail and apply brake pressure on it's own. Thanks for the followup post.
