So I’m having an issue with multiple different electronics. I have a 2006 lbz and I had the tbc 2b fuse blow which stops my dome lights and reverse lights from working. Well when I replace the fuse it’s good for a day or two then pops again. What could be causing this? All my other fuses appear to be fine.
Well my other issue is that I replaced my light switch yesterday which controls the dome light s and headlights. And the fuse seems to be holding as of today, but my radio is no longer playing music though the speakers which I can see the music playing but no sound is coming out. And I now have a light flickering on my climate controls. These were fine prior to yesterday. Any ideas of what might be going on? If it helps at all I’ve replaced all lights in the interior with leds and I’ve also changed the stock stereo to an aftermarket one. I did use a kit that was just plug and play and it’s got door chimes and such. I’ve also installed a remote start. So I’m wondering could it be any of the things I’ve put on causing this issue? Or what would it be?

Get ahold of a wiring diagram and check the wiring for your radio. Make sure nothing is messed up back there and its all wired correctly.

An incorrectly wired radio would cause the problem. It would be the wire that is supposed to connect for dimming lights, looks like a ground but is not.. has a yellow or a white stripe with black on it. Use it as a ground and it will blow the fuse.

Moral of my point, you probably have a bad wire somewhere even if its not your radio.

Does your remote start bypass the GM security? I’m not sure what brand remote start you installed but some aftermarket remote starts with security will have you wire it to the BCM and/or the door lock system to flash the lights. Some will even turn on the interior lights when using the remote start fob to unlock the doors. Just a thought of what could be causing your issues. Also check the grounds between the chassis and frame.

So I was able to check the wires connected to the stereo deck. I did originally use a kit that was specific to the truck that was just plug and play. Everything appears to be good and nothing is loose or wired incorrectly for what I can tell. It then started working after I reinstalled it so I’m not sure what was going on with it. However after it started working again my tbc 2b fuse blew again and now I’m back to square one where my dome lights and reverse lights do not work.
the remote start I bought is from MPC and the module is a crimstopper rs3 and keyless bypass module. It appears to be working fine but I will do some digging into that and I am unsure if it goes to the BCM as it was plug and play it plugs into the ignition and then into the factory harness and the OBDI port and has one ground wire. So I will check into this and update you guys when I know. Thank you guys for the help!
